I know it's a bit silly to ask a revision forum how many marks they got as this is likely the top 40% at least, but what does everyone think they got? I counted at the end and pretty sure I dropped 24-26 ish marks. I think my total marks are going to be around 150. I'm pretty disappointed because I ruined the orange counters question overthinking. I couldn't do the graph at the end. Nor the pyramid or algebraic equation. I think I was panicking because the numbers were getting so big and I couldn't cancel down. On my past papers I've been getting mid 80s in marks. Quadratics were all dead easy.

i think i dropped 4 marks (worst case) in paper 2 and then only 1 in paper 1. i don't think i made any silly errors. i should be at around 195/200 which i am happy with

Just having another think. Regarding the bounds question, why did people get 90? I know I said I thought it was 90 but I've been thinking again and I'm positive it was to two significant figures, which is 89
Same i’m really confused how people got 90 i got 86.5 but i’m not sure what i did wring

Btw anyone found the paper on tik tok

Reply 186

final question was 4 marks. i think virtually all of them were 4 marks or 3 marks except for the differentiating and finding the coordinates for the turning points

Reply 187

do we get to know the individual marks for paper 1 and 2 or just the overall mark

After looking at this room, i think I’ve got 77-80 hope the grade boundary gets lower by 1-2 marks and paper 1 can carry

For the bounds question, did you have to specify like in brackets what your chosen degree of accuracy was

bro, how do u even do tht ques?? Can u explain the steps so tht i can check if i got SOMETHING right...i never hv seen a question like tht n i did almost ALL past pprs...
wht i did was, X is (total area) - (square area) neh, so i found total area upper bound and square area lower bound and substracted and THAT answer i wrote as 3 s.f.(in hindsight, i used 3 s.f. cuz i thought we can use ANY value of accuracy...

A suitable degree of accuracy is the lowest number that both the lower and upper bound round to. In this case it was 90 because the numbers were too far apart to round any more and be the same

It’s not its 88.5 and 90.4 if you round up 88.5 u get 89 and round down 90.4 u get 90 so its 89.5

ok so for p i got 16 annoyingly instead of 8 since my final fraction was:

40x^2 - 1440 / 5x^2 - 180 which i could simplify to 8+8/1

can someone tell me where ive gone wrong here? and whether ill get most of the marks for getting that last fraction or whether that bit is wrong too?

thanks

Think I have got 100 unless I made any small silly mistakes 🤞
Venn diagram was 16 then 18/43
Pyramid was 2.92
Final q was like 937.5 or something close to that
Degree of accuracy was 90 to 1.s.f
Let me know if any of you have any questions.

my ass cant even remember what questions I did

yeah i thought it was 2sf as well because all the measures in the question were either 2sf or 3sf so i reckon it was 89, but if u put either its fine bc u lose only one mark

what did everyone get for the square-based pyramid question - 2.92 or 5.78

Do we get marks if we round it up and write it as 3??
