higher English help

im not sure what the best way to revise higher english is.
for the critical essay im doing prose non fiction and ive got 1 essay memorised that fits a question about social/moral/political issue, im not sure a question like this will even come up in the exam but im unsure on what other questions to write my essay on.
for the poetry i am doing carol ann duffy and i have around 5/6 quotes from each poem memorised but im unsure on how to actually revise the poems. i stuck at annotating/analysing stuff and i really struggle with exam questions.
for the RUAE, i know how to answer nearly all of the question types, minus effective opening and endings lol, but i struggle ALOT when doing past papers. in my prelim i only got 14/30 as i struggle to understand what the questions are asking me/how to pick out the information.
im feeling really stressed for this exam as i really want to get an A but have no idea how to revise it. in Nat5 i got an A but that was with 0 revision and 1 essay memorised which was thankfully the question in the exam, and now in higher i dont know what im doing..
please just leave any tips i can use and please can someone recommend me another question to write an essay on! (i cant do a character essay because it doesnt fit my text)

For the Set Text im doing CAD as well and I found the best way to just get a blank sheet of the poem and try your best to annotate and analyse and understand the poems because once you have that all good, you are set for the set text because its basically asking you to analyse the poems. I think it's going to be Valentine or Originally but I'm not sure. For the essay I don't exactly know what you're doing but you could do about a specific experience for the question? What are you writing on for the essay? Usually just write it out to memorise it and then try interlink the question. For RUAE I recommend just doing past papers but take your time trying to find exactly the information you need from what the question is asking. It usually helps to read/ skim over the text first then answer the questions but you want to really focus on the information you are picking out-like look for key words in the question and try and look for similar words in the passage. For all the questions just quote and analyse/quote and reword, but the key thing is to QUOTE because it means its easier for you to actually see the information and do as the question is asking you. If you don't struggle with timing (unlike me) try add an extra answer to your own words answer, because there is no negative marking so it'll really help! I hope this helps and good luck, we can do this!!
