Nottingham Uni - accommodation catered v non catered

Hi, my son is looking to start his law degree at Nottingham uni in September. He wants to stay on campus.

Would be great to hear from students at Nottingham about the catered v non catered options?

Also, what is the best halls location wise for law and near the sports centre?

Many thanks.

I believe all on campus are catered, nothing too far from sports centre or academic buildings tbh so just choose something you like the look of and fits budget. My son had a year in Lincoln and then another in sherwood which overlooked the sports centre but was a little further to lectures - nice walk across campus though : D

Hi AnitaMary!

It's lovely to hear your son wants to study Law with us in September.

As Cyandburb shared, the majority of the accommodation we offer on University Park Campus is Catered, with self-catered options such as Broadgate Park being found just outside the campus with easy transport and travel onto the main campus.

You can see a breakdown of all the accommodation we offer Here, and filter down to your sons preferences 😄

Most Law content takes place fairly centrally on our University Park Campus, so any accommodation on or near to campus will offer a fairly short commute to his lectures.

Hope that helps, and all the best with your sons studies! ^-^

Hi, my daughter is also (fingers crossed) due to start Law at Nottingham in September. We chose catered accommodation just to make her life a little easier in the first year. Unfortunately, as she's gonna be under 18 when she starts, she was restricted to choose from only 2 halls, one in University Park campus (where most of their lectures will be) and one in Jubilee campus. She ended up choosing the one in Jubilee as more modern, better value, and they have frequent buses between the campus, so hopefully it won't be much of a problem being far.
