Which uni should I choose for my msc in cybersecurity?

Hi @boubie

When considering where to study I think it is important to assess lots of different things, ranging from the course quality, accommodation, sports and societies on offer, the city itself, etc. I'm assuming you have completed an undergraduate degree, perhaps use this past experience to shape what you want going forward - what did you like/dislike about your past university, is there something that you want this time round?

To help in this decision, I recommend going to visit as many places as possible on open-days. Additionally, it would be really useful to speak to some of our current Cybersecurity Master's students here at Lancaster. You can ask them any questions regarding their course, teachers, Lancaster campus itself, you can access them HERE.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to let us know!

Which uni should I choose for my msc in cybersecurity?

Hi
I am a current MSC student at Southampton University, and although I do not study cybersecurity, I thought I could give some insight into the master's experience. I have enjoyed my time here as it has been very student-led, in the sense of picking all my modules and tailoring the experience to what I want. Southampton has given me great employability options through practical skills and work experience opportunities. Although the workload is more than that of an Undergrad, if it's something you are interested in, then it is more manageable. The student life is excellent, as the city itself is very student-oriented with lots of green space, bars, clubs, and shopping, and there is always a lot to do. Alongside this, the university offers lots of extracurricular activities as well.
I advise looking at all the aspects of a university when picking one. If the course content and structures remain consistent across universities, look into other aspects of the universities and find which you feel you would fit into more. Check out the Southampton website for more information on the course's specifics. Hopefully, this has given you a little more understanding of student life at Southampton.
Thanks
Nikki
