Providing Evidence For Unearned Income

Good Evening, I am currently in the process of applying for SFE and have completed most of the to do list, however, I cannot upload any evidence for Unearned Income.

I am in the fortunate position to be earning a reasonable amount of interest from a savings account, so declared it on the unearned income section, however, it is now asking me to provide evidence, such as a tax self assessment report, or an accountants analysis of income. However, I am 17 and have none of these and have not paid any Tax yet. I have uploaded some bank statements and received the email confirming SFE have received the evidence, however on the application, it still says the evidence upload is "Not complete".

Would someone be able to advise on what is happening and what I should do next?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there, for to check the status of the application and required evidences you would need to call us 0300 100 0607 as we are unable to access accounts from the social media portal.Based on the information you have provided however, for unearned income evidence we would be able to accept copies of your annual Interest Summary (for Bank/Building Society gross interest), Dividend Statement, Investment Statement, Tax Return. This evidence can be updated via your online account for review. Thanks, Stephen.

Thanks for the Reply Stephen, I managed to upload a series of bank statements that showed every gross interest I earned throughout the tax year, so while it wasn't one summary, it still showed all the interest.

I assume this would also be acceptable.

Kind Regards.

Hi Claire,
I uploaded the evidence and completed the form Monday. I received an email stating that the evidence had been received, but on the form it still says it is not complete, unless it only changes once its been reviewed.

Also I assume that the bank statements are ok to show the gross interest?

Thanks

The bank statements should be fine and will show outstanding till they have been reviewed. It's currently taking 9 working days to be reviewed. Our timescales are estimates and can change daily up or down depending on how busy we are. If the team need anything else they will email you, it may go to your junk folder.

Once updated and approved, this will reflect online and then you will receive paperwork in the post.

Thanks,
Claire

Many Thanks, will the paperwork include what loan I would be entitled to? although I’m already expecting the minimum.

Yes, once approved the Notification of Entitlement Letter would confirm how much we can offer you.

Thanks,
Claire
