MPharm (B230) Strathclyde

I recently received an offer for pharmacy at strathclyde. my offer was a B in advanced higher chemistry, a C in advanced higher maths and a B in higher biology.

i was predicted a B for chemistry, however during my chemistry exam last week i was extremely sick and had to leave the exam early and i threw up during the exam.

prior work from me is being sent into the sqa alongside my exam but the highest grade i can get is a C.

I was just wondering would i still be considered for the MPharm course if my grades were lower than expected due to exceptional circumstances that were out of my control.

also if i for example instead got a B in advanced higher Maths, a C in advanced higher chemistry and an A in higher biology would that still be enough for me to be considered for the course.

Hello!

If your grade changes following appeal send it in to the admissions teams for consideration. I can't say for certain what the outcome would be if you still don't meet the entry requirements, however we would reconsider your application again if the grade was to change. You should email [email protected] (ccing [email protected]), quote your UCAS ID and let them know an appeal is ongoing.

If you've any questions about this over the next few days you can call our team as we're running an advice/guidance line following SQA results day. The number is 0800 389 3931.
