fieldwork geography as a private candidate

hey so im doing geography b edexel and im homeschooled and sitting gcses privately andd im revising from cgp books and came across fieldwork and idk how im supposed to answer these questions. i emailed the exam board and they gave me some links about fieldwork. i was wondering if anyone did these questions as a private candidate, or even if you did them in school what are u supposed to write? im a bit stressed because im really struggling with geography. so if anyone knows how to answer them even though im not able to do fieldwork as im not in school please lmk!!

Fellow homeschooler here! I’ve never done geography but yes coursework and stuff like that can be a problem as that’s stuff you’d do in school. I would just read up on fieldwork, if it’s not mandatory for you to actually do fieldwork to get the gcse then I wouldn’t worry too much about it, just make sure you have some knowledge about it, I’m sure the school will have provided you with what you need with the links they sent you.

Dont worrryyy, I did geography gcse and i missed the fieldwork day and all I did was just watch videos online on what the field work theortically entailed and resulted in etc, DONT WORRY youll be fine, just read up on it like you would with content in general or maybe even try to carry it out on your own so that it sticks more.

RIVER FIELDWORK , URBAN FIELDWORK : LINKS.

Ok here you go, all you need for your geography Edexel B Gcse on Fieldwork on these 2 topics: Urban Fieldword and Rivers. Not that there are a total of 4 Options, you need to know 2. These are the 2 our school did. You can make up this data towards your own town. it doesnt need to be exact just make it believable. MAKE UP DATA .

I would Like to Add some thing to keep in mind:

Make up data to make up a point (there is no real answer as there are an infinite possibilities of where people can analyse data. Eg i did the river chess but it can be any river in the entire uk. i mean ANY

Know the types of data and how you (i) collected them. Eg: Primary data (Environmental Quality Data) Secondary Data: Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD)

How we used that data, Explained in the powerpoints

Location Names. if you want to change location, you can say any place that is real and make up data, or just use the ones i analysed.

Remember key data pointers. Although you can somewhat make it up, you need to remember what the data you are trying to talk about actually is and why we collected it

FIELD WORK, if you are using my Ppt, make sure you know the firld work i did, URBAN AND RIVERS, There are a total of 4 Questions on the papers some including Coasts and others, You need to state the fieldwork you chose so just remember that.

Questions, Please use past papers and chat gpt to help you better understand fieldwork and what may come up

Need Help? Just reply and give me an email (if you want) or just here if fine and i can guide you through anything else you need to know!

FINALLY! Good luck and i wish you the very best!
