Can I apply to a uni on A-Level results day even though I’m enrolled on a course?

I just finished my 1st year of Biomed and don’t like it at all. My question is purely hypothetical: would it legal if I resat my A-levels in 2026, got top grades then applied to Undergrad Medicine courses in clearing (or just called up med schools) on results day (if there will be any)? Would I be allowed to just leave my current course + uni and apply somewhere else through clearing next year? Would my current uni and also the med schools know and allow that? Can’t find answers anywhere. I know I’d have to do the UCAT this year.

I got CCD in 2024 which is why I wanna resit my A-levels in 2026 during my 2nd year of Biomed. I regret not resitting this year (I just finished my first year of a Biomed course I got into through clearing).

You would be extremely lucky to find a medicine course that's in clearing, regardless of whether you could get a place if there were.

I am aware. But do you know if i would be allowed to apply to undergrad med courses on results day (despite being enrolled on my biomed course) if things go well?
