alt course dilemma

so basically i got rejected post int from one of my medical schools, and decided to go through an alternative course route, where i applied for pharmacy. this swap happened on the 14th April on UCAS, but a few days before this date internally (11th April). I have heard nothing from the Uni since, and have emailed and called ~4 times, and to which I've got no response. the deadline for providers to get back to you is the 14th may, and as that is just over a week away, I am a bit concerned, especially as Pharmacy is a course you need to interview for. i wouldnt see why they would reject me pre interview, especially since I have an alt ps if they asked, I have the grades, and this course is literally an alt course to swap from med too, so me previously being a med applicant/ med ps shouldnt deter them. my concern is that its going to be an auto rejection by the 14th, to which i can see no reason really, unless there were serious red flags in my med interview, which i acc dont think there were. advice please????

You say you "decided to go through an alternative course route" and that "this swap happened on the 14th April on UCAS", but it's not clear to me what actually happened.

Did the university contact you, saying "We can't make you an offer for Medicine, but we'd be happy to make you an offer for Pharmacy if you'd like us to swap your application to that." Or did you contact the university and say, "I know you've rejected me for Medicine, but would you please reconsider me for Pharmacy?", and they agreed?

What is the status of the application in UCAS? Is it "awaiting decision"?

Finally, you say you've "emailed and called ~4 times, and to which I've got no response". It's difficult to get no response from a phone call. Do you mean that they just told you to wait for a formal response via UCAS? Or did they simply not answer the phone?

If you have a Medicine offer elsewhere, why are you so keen to secure a Pharmacy offer too? Are you considering abandoning Medicine altogether? Or is the plan to firm the Medicine offer and insure the Pharmacy offer?

Universities need to have made their offer decisions by 14 May this year. However, it's really not clear what's happening with your switched Pharmacy application. I'm sorry I can't offer you any reassurance. :frown:
