I can't say it was easy to get in, but I think I got in since I had achieved 10 9s and 1 8, I ticked off maybe 3 boxes of the WP criteria, I had been to the Year 11 outreach programme and I had a really good teacher reference. If I remember correctly, there were 16 places for design engineering when I went, and we were split into 2 groups. In terms how it went- one of the best experiences of my life- it was so, so much fun and Imperial did not scrimp, they made sure we had the best time, watching Wicked in the westend one night and partying in a hotel the next. I still talk to the friends I made on the programme, and we've all been supporting each other during the application process❤️
