Btec Grading

I wanted to know if the btec calculator is 100% accurate as im a bit paranoid since I got a near pass for a external unit here are my grades for the year the ones that I haven’t gotten yet il add the minimum grade I’m aiming for

Unit 1 exam unit (90GLH) Pass
Unit 2 assignment unit (90GLH) merit
Unit 3 exam unit (120GLH) merit
Unit 4 assignment unit (90GLH) distinction
Unit 5 exam unit (120GLH) near pass
Unit 6 assignment unit (90GLH) I’m aiming for a minimum grade of merit but can push for a distinction
Unit 7 exam unit (120GLH) merit
Unit 9 assignment unit (60GLH) Distinction
Unit 10 assignment unit (60GLH) I’m aiming for a merit
Unit 11 assignment unit (60GLH) merit
Unit 12 assignment unit (60GLH) Distinction
Unit 13 assignment unit (60GLH) I’m aiming for a merit
Unit 18 assignment unit (60GLH) I’m aiming for a merit

My only worry is unit 5 as I’m very bad at exams and will finish the year with a near pass in that unit will I still be able to get DMM or have I failed the year because of the near pass in unit 5 because in the btec calculator it says I will get a DMM but I have a bad feeling I won’t even get the qualification

Any replies will be greatly appreciated

The grade calculator is 100% accurate (if you input the correct details and your actual points for each exam).
If unsure, your tutor / BTEC teacher should be able to check for you.

I asked my teacher and he got the same result but with a couple of points higher as he has my actual mark for the exams I’ve done so will my near pass in unit 5 won’t stop me from getting a DMM overall?

it shouldn't as that's the point of a Near pass. What subject is it? and what were the actual points you got for the exams (not grade)?

I’m doing a Level 3 btec applied biomedical science the one that’s worth 3 A levels in my unit 1 I got 12 marks which came up as a pass unit 3 came up as 20 which is merit unit 5 is at least 8 points since it’s at a near pass and unit 7 is at least 20 since it’s at a merit and I can’t get the exact marks for unit 5 and 7 as my teacher won’t give me them

Ive attached a couple of screenshots. If you get the grades stated then you are looking at an overall DMM (which is 186 BTEC points). To get to the next grade of DDM you need 196. So if you were to get a Dis in any 2 units from 10,11, 13 or 18, you could do this.
The table on Page 310 of the specification shows how to work it out. https://qualifications.pearson.com/content/dam/pdf/BTEC-Nationals/Applied-Science/2016/specification-and-sample-assessments/BTEC-L3-Nat-ExtDip-in-Applied-Science-Spec.pdf
