For the exam, are you usually marked down on spelling, as I can never spell phenolpthalein (an indicator for a titration) correctly 😂

No, they don't care about spelling if they understand what you are trying to say. It is a tough one!

You should be fine as long as your spelling isn’t so far off that it could be mistaken for another similar term on your course spec, for example, something like photolysis vs photosynthesis. Examiners aren’t usually harsh on tricky scientific spellings as long as it’s clear which word you meant. So I wouldn't stress too much over it! (:
