can i get into my top choice if i dont meet the offer?

i really want to get into my top choice and they are asking for ABB, but i dont know if i'll even be able to reach that, i think i can aim for BBB which is more realistic (my grades at the moment kinda). My second choice is BBB-BCC which is realistic but i dont think i want to go there.
what should i do? should i work even harder to get ABB ? or lower my expectations?
thanks

Hi

I would try to work towards the ABB. Some schools will let you in with one grade lower, like uni of sheffield usually let people in with a grade lower, however, some may not be as lenient. Use that top choice as motivation for the ABB. I wouldn't risk it- especially if you really don't want your second choice.

Hope that helps?

Good Luck

Honest answer is that nobody knows - not even that University.

It will depend on how everyone else does, and how many meet their Firm offer conditions, how many spaces there then are (if any) and what near-miss applicants that Uni might accept to fill them.

If you are certain that you wouldn't want to go to your Insurance offer, then decline it now. That way, if your Firm choice doesn't accept you and you are rejected, you will go straight into Clearing without having to wait for your Insurance to release you. If you are not sure how to do this on UCAS Hub, then just phone UCAS for advice first.
