Getting a U in my year 12 end of summer mocks (predicted grades)

I’m currently in year 12 and I have recently just finished my end of year 12 mocks that are supposed to be taken into account for my UCAS grade. I take politics, psychology and business and I fear that I may have gotten a U in politics as I haven’t really prepared myself. In my last year 12 mocks I got a B in politics but I’m scared that if I a get a U/fail this times mock and since it’s being take into account for my ucas grade I’m scared that I might not get a grade that I want (I need an A in politics) can somebody let me know what happens and like will my ucas grades be affected, I’m so disappointed in myself and I understand that these exams are the ones that really matter. I don’t know anybody who has gotten a U in their year 12 mock exam and has gone to a good university, I don’t want to resit year 12. Please can someone tell me what will happen and what I should do

Schools usually take into account all past grades when giving a predicted grade for UCAS applications, so hopefully they will not give you a U if you got a B last time. 🙂

Loads of teachers have said they’re willing to give us grades that we need for university but I’m just so disappointed and embarrassed, I don’t really know what I should do towards moving forward and if I’ll even get into university

You’re right, I’m just worried that this mock I’ve done will affect my relationship with my teacher and my ucas grade but I’ll definitely work harder in the summer and try and improve. Fingers crossed that they’ll change my grade and don’t determine it on this paper

Thats understandable but you can’t change whats happened so you just need to prove you can do better 🙂 Fingers crossed!
