Cambridge Philosophy 2025-2026 - Help!!

Is it worth applying to do philosophy at Cambridge with my current situation and grades? I have 99988888777 at GCSE (less than average), and I’m predicted A*A*A at A-Level (and an A in EPQ). I also attend a private school which I know Cambridge is more selective about - is it worth it?? If anyone has stories of people with similar grades and circumstance please let me know

From my understanding, not massive emphasis is placed on gsce's as long as they are good (which yours are). They look for passion for your subject through an excellent personal statement and super circulars. You have to make yourself seem interesting on paper to them show that in interview, they are far more concerned about your interest for the subject than anything else.
Why not? You meet all the requirements on paper. It's a competitive course but there's no obvious glaring issue I can see with your grades.

Are you passionate about philosophy? Do you read a lot around your subject and do extra/super-curriculars that relate to it? If so, you have a great chance with those grades!
