I got “you’ve not been offered a place”, I’m gutted - any advice??
Hello,
I'm so sorry to hear about your rejection.
It's completely normal to feel gutted, its something you've worked hard for - this is a really tough moment. But please remember that this isn't the end of your journey.

Here's what you can do now:

Take time to process: It's okay to feel disappointed. Give yourself time to work through these emotions

Talk to someone: Whether it's family, friends, or your school's career advisor - don't keep these feelings bottled up

Review your options: Consider:

Exploring Clearing when it opens

Looking at alternative universities

Taking a gap year to strengthen your application

Exploring different courses that interest you

Moving Forward:

Request feedback: Understanding why you weren't offered a place can help with future applications

Consider alternative paths: Sometimes life's "no's" lead us to even better opportunities we hadn't considered

Remember: Many successful people faced rejections in their academic journey. It's not about the setback - it's about how you bounce back from it.

“I've had a lot of success; I've had failures, so I learn from the failure.” - Gordon Ramsey

Just to clarify getting a rejection does not mean you've failed in any capacity; here to support you through this! 💪 feel free to ask any questions.

I'm sorry to hear this. Have you asked for feedback as to why you were rejected?

Where else have you applied and have you had any offers?

Do Ulster Uni send out a rejection email? No offer received yet 😬

I applied to qub for nursing, I didn’t realise that I wasn’t eligible as I am doing one a level, one ocr and one btec. UU was my last option. I have asked for feedback but haven’t received any yet.

Got my feedback. All they said “This applicant was rejected on the basis of their interview. As I mentioned, our Admissions team do not provide interview feedback.”
