Economics at Cambridge/LSE

Hi, I am a current year 12 student looking to apply to study economics at Cambridge, LSE, Warwick, and 2 more out of Durham/Bristol/Bath/UCL. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me understand more about how I can stand out for such a competitive degree at the top universities, and provide any guidance on how to write my personal statement and about the TMUA. Additionally, what sort of things should I have done at this stage to prepare for the interview/include on my PS. I have completed work experiences, read books, achieved Gold in the UKMT and merit with best in year in the kangaroo, I have done a talk on my subject, and I have entered two essay competitions but only received participation (I was wondering how much emphasis they put on essay competitions as well). I am awaiting predicted grades but they should lie in the 4 A-A star area. Any guidance on how to increase my chances of getting in/any tips in general would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
