mmu or uom for postgrad/transfer 2nd year
i'm currently looking at options for 2027 (i like to be super ahead) and im genuinely stuck between doing my pgce for secondary education at either mmu or uom. ive always wanted to go to uom but my fear of underperfoming in my alevels led me to firming mmu rather than uom (even tho i eventually actually got the grades for uom lmao) but going to the uni thats down the road from my dream uni breaks a little piece of my heart whenever i get a glimpse of the purple. not that mmu is bad or anything. anyways, knowing that uom is my dream uni should mean i wouldnt be questioning between the two however almost everyone i come across says mmu is better for education courses. after research it seems thats the general consensus. which is where my dilemma comes from. does anyone know which would be better? xx

Transferring for history is possible, but it is subject to space.

You'd need to speak to admissions at Manchester in the first instance, then they can provide specific guidance.
As for whether it is worth it, I honestly don't know. I'm not well up on history degrees, really

It is really hard when you are inbetween two universities! If you do want to look at transferring to UoM, give their admissions team a call and find out what their transfer process is like. most universities will consider transfers into 2nd year of their courses but is often course dependant.
If they can consider a transfer you usually just have to apply again via UCAS but they can give you specific guidance!
