imposter syndrome-IB, Finance, Consulting

Hi LSE students, and other students, I want some advice.

I've been feeling very stressed recently about my career path. I am a 2nd year at LSE doing economics and compared to my fellow students, I have no idea what I'm doing in terms of my career. I know I want to do something in finance or consulting, but when I research it seems surface level.

I feel a giant amount of imposter syndrome within LSE with people seeming to know exactly what they want and how to get it. I want to get to this point too.

During internships, other students seem to have a great understanding of exactly what needs to be done, the role, and relevant terminology.

Im not sure where to start learning what I need to know in depth, but I have to start. I worry that I will have nothing to talk about in interviews and wont be able to show where my interest in finance has come from or anything because I just dont really know much.

I did think I knew stuff until I realised how much others knew. Please help me or give me pointers on how to further my interest and my knowledge. How did you start furthering your understanding of finance or a field within it, any books to read/websites etc. Anything would be appreciated.
