Hi @Kanushi09

I don't know particular places in Middlesbrough but I would say check local business Facebook pages. Last year I wrote a big list of local businesses that I thought might get busy over summer and kept checking their websites and social media, or even just reached out and contacted them. Good ones to look at are pubs, uniform shops, ice cream shops or any hospitality that surrounds popular summer activities like walking routes, play centres, garden centres.

I know that often big companies often hire over summer and their websites are probably the best place to check.

I hope this helps

I know that clarks takes on summer staff. Because its their busiest time with kids needing shoes before going back to school.

Hiya!

I’m not sure either about specific places in Middlesbrough, but I’m sure you’ll be able to find something before starting university 😀It might be worth checking out local restaurants, cafés, or venues like bowling alleys and soft play centres, as they often look for extra summer staff. I already worked at a medical warehouse during college and I continued working there before starting at university but a warehouse job could be an option or working in some sort of childcare perhaps. This is what I do currently when I come home from university.

Also, consider applying to larger chains like McDonald's, Tesco, or Costa, places like that are more likely to have branches near your uni too, so there’s a chance you could transfer and keep working when you move

Best of luck
