Exeter Open day 2026
Hi,
I am in year 12 and attending the Exeter open day over half term. I currently am based in the herts beds bucks region and am not quite sure how to do travel. If anyone has any recs on places to stay in Exeter for visits or how to do the trip in a day who are also from the same area it would be very appreciated.

Hello.
I have been to Exeter a couple of times, as I am hoping to start there in September this year - I live in Cambridge.
Both times, my parents and I have driven down on a Friday, and stayed overnight at the Travelodge just off the M5, very close to the University. The Travelodge is cheap, but not the most luxurious accomodation- but it is functional and only for one night.
From Cambridge, it is a 260 mile drive, takes around 4.5 hours, using the A14, M5 route.
