Research your options – Not all universities or apprenticeship providers are the same. Check the specific entry requirements for the courses or schemes you're interested in and make a list. You might find they’re more flexible than you think.

Contact admissions teams – If a course you’re interested in does ask for a Grade 6, it’s worth getting in touch with the admissions team. Explain that you were only one mark off (and have evidence), and ask whether they’d still consider your application.

Focus on your personal statement – This is your chance to highlight your strengths, achievements, and relevant experiences beyond your grades.
