Bath Motorbike Parking

Hi all! I am going to study Economics at Bath in September. I am looking at accommodation and had an oddly specific question around bike parking - where can I find out what bike parking is available?

I am likely to apply to mostly campus universities, but some City ones too like John Wood and Green Park. Would be very helpful if I could get some help finding some near those two.

Thanks!

ps any advice on Bath as a uni and a city is very welcome!

Hiya!

Huge congrats on getting your offer from Bath! If its a bicycle you're talking about then there are ample bike sheds on campus - but if its a motorbike then I'm afraid students are not able to park motorbikes or cars on campus because the parking is very limited. However whether you're on or off campus the U1 bus goes every ten minutes or so from campus to the town centre, and the U2 bus goes to Oldfield Park, and this is how most people get around. If you end up on campus for your accom then you probably can afford to just buy single tickets each time you go to town but if you're living in city accommodation then having a Uni Year ticket might save you a bit more money if you'll be coming to campus most days.

I may be a little biased but I think Bath is a really great place to be. The uni is like a little village, its open, green and its lovely to share the space with the community of mallard ducks 🦆 - the uni itself has one of the best and most well supported placement schemes in the country which will add its weight in gold to your CV, has a really friendly community of students and staff and a lot to do outside your studies such as societies, sports, volunteering, fundraising, walks in the woods and part-time work. The city itself too has an awful lot to do for its small size and is less overwhelming and a lot safer than some of the bigger cities 🙂

I hope this helps but if you have any questions please let us know!
