HE diploma at UCEN Manchester college

Hi guys, I wanted to do the access course in either engineering or computing at UCEN Manchester college, what you guys think about the college? Did you got high predicted grades? Did you got into a RG uni? How is the teaching style? Is it hard to get Distinctions in the assignment and exams?

I really want to go to Manchester uni and I though about pairing my HE diploma with A level maths to had more chance to get into it.

Hi, im currently about to finish my studies at UCEN as an access to HE engineering student at citylabs campus,
1) the college itself isnt anything special, as citylabs is equivalent to a hallway with like 5 classes but the teachers are so amazing, they are great people who rlly care about you
2) UCEN doesnt do predicted grades, unless the uni absolutely demands it, this is when you would have to talk to your tutor and aslong as ur doing well he will predict u all distinctions
3) especially since ur gonna do a level maths too, ur likely to get all ur offers, even from a russel group, im personally going to bristol this september but i have offers from uni of nottingham and some safetys
3) You dont do exams, only assignments, we personally did one math assignment in an exam style format, 2 hrs in class and personally as someone with all distinctions, if you put in effort and do ur research you will get all distinctions

As someone who did a level maths alongside ucen i dont recommend it, as many unis wont require it and ur assingments will take up quite a bit of time (especially physics) but if you take a level maths ur guaranteed to have a harder time to meet ur offer compared to ur classmates who wont, i have to get an A in a level maths for bristol while my classmates had to do an open book online test which only covers pure content.

Pls feel free to ask me any further questions. UCEN is a great place and i highly reccommend doing ur access course here.
