GCSE requirements will still apply and won't change in clearing.

Suppose the acc and finance GCSE entry requirement for uni's are grade 7 for maths but they got grade 6 however they met the alevel requirement, are there still chances of them getting an offer because isnt clearing suppose to be flexible for students. Furthermore, what if the they were like 7m of 7 and got an alternative such as IGCSE which got grade 7.

As above, it will not change at Clearing.
GCSES are about essential skills required to complete the course - not 'nice to have'.
GCSEs and IGCSEs are interchangeable and do not have different grade requirements.

If you think your maths ability is good enough to succeed on a course that requires a 7 at GCSE then you should resit your maths GCSE to get that grade.

I mean IGCSE is equivalent to a GCSE so they should technically accept it, and because it's clearing they should be more inclined to accept lower grades as they're trying to fill spots - I think most unis would accept

Thank you so much, by the way which uni are you doing medicine

They still maintain GSCE requirements in clearing as they are the minimum standards required for the course.

Yes - my son did. You have also received advice from forum members who work in uni admissions.

Does 20+ years working with and in admissions coordinating and processing clearing applications count as “participating”?

An odd scenario and not clear why you were entered for essentially the same subject in consecutive years. Did you move countries and it was mandatory?

In my experience this is down to the discretion of the individual unis you’re applying to, as you’ve potentially evidenced that your Maths has weakened a little.

Typically the most recent result takes precedence, but as I say it is down to the uni, so some may not care and just accept the IGCSE result.
