Anglia Ruskin accommodation in Cambridge

What are people doing for accommodation in September? I wanted to book a studio but most of the accommodation listed on the website are full.

Hi Shay,
People rent various accommodations at ARU Cambridge. The university offers student accommodations. There are some on campus, namely Peter Taylor House, etc. Then, there are others operated by third parties, but are still for the university. These are a bit farther than the on-campus ones, but still a walkable distance, and there are reliable buses to get to campus from them. Most students I know stay in the second option because there is more availability. Finally, we have private accommodation where you rent with someone/agency unrelated to the university. Most times, there are other university students in the accommodation, but that is not guaranteed; you may be living with non-university students. Some of these accommodations are near the university, some can be far, depending on the location you rent. Whichever option you go with, the earlier the better. I hope this helps!

Also! This link to the university website about accommodations is very helpful. You should check it out. It had virtual accommodation tours, FAQs and ways to contact the accommodation team etc.

Hey, I studied at ARU back in 2013 and couldn’t get into halls either. I ended up in private shared accommodation for all three years and honestly had a great experience, made lifelong friends and still had easy access to campus. I know things may have changed since then, but just wanted to reassure you that missing out on halls doesn’t mean you’ll miss out on the uni experience!

I got a studio in CB1. You had to be very quick with booking as they are one of the most popular choices. They opened bookings from something like April/May time
