EPQ Marking

Recently, I just got given my mark for EPQ which my supervisor is unsure between B & A.
However, I was really surprised at this as I had only given my epq in 2 weeks ago, and my supervisor has not got my production log, source log, Gantt chart, or even supervisor log. In fact, he told me he only looked at my presentation and essay when making the epq not even my production log which I have spent so long on. Similarly, he hasn’t given me any feedback from my presentation, essay, OR my summary and reflection so even my summary and reflection isn’t done.

It is being internally moderated over the weekend then I get my grade on monday, but I feel like all these aspects of my project have just been ignored completely. Has anyone get any advice?

Hi lovely!

This can be concerning considering internal moderation requires all 4 parts of your EPQ to be assessed!

Here's what i would do as someone who has previously done an EPQ:

Make sure you've written all of this down and have documentation of everything, including the fact they only marked your essay and presentation

Request a meeting with your supervisor tomorrow (Monday) or some day during this week and ask them to look at everything that will be assessed properly, emphasize how much hard work you have put into your production log e.t.c

Ask for feedback on everything and how to improve it and explain how it is important for you to receive this so you can improve

If nothing seems to have improved, take the issue to your head of sixth form or whoever is head of the EPQ and explain your situation in hopes that they can do something about it, ask them if they have seen and reviewed all your material

If none of this works, after you have received your mark, appeal to the exams board (i believe it is AQA, but it may be different so ask!) or through your school on results day

Hope this helps,
Katy,
