Ever seen a scenario where spouse doesn't want theirs to celebrate their birthday?

Have you ever come across a case where one spouse has their birthday and doesn't want their other half to celebrate it with them?

For example they might just call their workmates or arrange with some external people to go out and celebrate.

Haven't seen this before but maybe they need some alone time. Maybe a post-birthday dinner or movie night is the way to go, just casual one on one stuff.

What's best?
Sometimes i feel that I don't want them with me on mine and don't see anyone I can do it with.

This is indicative of a severe issue and a flashing warning sign. While spending time alone or with others is justified generally, a healthy relationship is one in which you spend the important moments together.

certain people have really bad feelings surrounding their birthday, whether from childhood problems or something bad happening around then. that could be your partner's issue.
either that or they're just a red flag. maybe try having a chat together about it.
