Essay Competition from Cambridge Students — Politics, IR, History (Y11–13)

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to share something that might be useful for anyone thinking of applying to Cambridge (or studying politics, IR, history, etc in general):
I’m a second-year undergrad at Cambridge and currently the Vice President of the Cambridge Journal of Political Affairs (CJPA), a student-led academic journal here supported by the Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS).
We’ve just launched our second essay competition, open to students in Years 11–13 (or international equivalents)!
It’s a great chance to explore political ideas more deeply and demonstrate academic interest — especially if you're thinking of applying to uni for politics, HSPS, IR, PPE, or related courses.

📚 Word limit: 1,500 words
🌍 Theme: Challenges to Governance — with prompts across political theory, history, IR, political science, and comparative politics
We’re also planning to offer 1:1 guidance on personal statements, interview prep sessions to winners — especially for those applying to politics or social science-related courses.
