Afrikaans at A level

Hi.
So I am a South African student who has recently finished IGCSEs and am at a cross roads.
In order to get matriculation I have two options. A: have one subject at igcse level and at least four subjects at As level OR B: have three subjects at IGCSE level and two subjects at A level. Now here is the issue. I really want to take the latter option as I do not wish to continue with As level Mathematics, however I do not know if I can take the A level subjects I want. They are English language and...Afrikaans. Is Afrikaans even still available at A level or would it be better to take a subject like say Media studies?
Thanks looking forward to the feedback

It's available as an AS only as far as I can see: https://www.cambridgeinternational.org/programmes-and-qualifications/cambridge-international-as-level-afrikaans-language-as-level-only-8679/
The problem is finding a college in your area what offers the AS Level. If it's not available in your local area, then you either choose another subject or try to go for distance learning (you will likely not get as much support for speaking and listening as if you would if you did it in a classroom environment).

You can take media studies should you wish (it's available as a full A Level), but instead of picking random subjects I would opt for picking the subjects that you need for the degree, career, or course that you want to do afterwards. It's a complete hassle to do your A Levels again after college.
