How’s the nightlife at the University Of Essex?

I have an unconditional offer for the University Of Essex - going to an offer holder open day next month but just wanted to ask around about how the nightlife is like.

I’m currently living around guildford which isn’t great for nightlife so I’m just looking for somewhere that’s better with more things to do. My mum went to essex when she was younger and said it was good when she was there but not to sure how its like now. I don’t really care about it being amazing but just wanna make sure it isn’t dead when i’m there.

First of all, congratulations on your offer! Whichever degree you chose to study I am quite confident that Essex will help you flourish🌟

Regarding your question, that's a strong YES! Essex does have a nightlife especially in town centre. There are numerous clubs and bars around the town, although, the university has its own bars and even a club on campus with many events taking place every week. It's not London, obviously, but you can get there easily by train and it takes less than an hour! Overall, I am quite confident you won't get bored here🚀
