LIPA - Production Technology stuff
This one is mainly for anyone who's already studying at Lipa, firstly I'm taking the wild assumption of I'll need a laptop or similar but do I need a specific kind of laptop which can run certain programs? I'm getting a laptop either way but I don't want to buy one and it ends up being the complete and utter wrong type... Any suggestions?

Given your course will use subject specific software, which may be processor intensive, requiring a separate graphics cards etc, I would advise you to contact LIPA and ask them for minimum specification for your actual course. That is what we did but it was for a different course.
In addition to using devices at LIPA (https://lipa.ac.uk/why-lipa/facilities/ict-facilities/), you can also take kit out from the library.
