History at Penryn or Stretham?

I received an offer for Exeter to study history (contextual BBB) at the Stretham campus, however I'm considering switching to the Penryn campus. I saw some people say that the history courses at each campus are different, but I want to know if I'd be limited at the Penryn campus compared to the one at Exeter.
I know that there is no nightlife and that it's smaller but that doesn't concern me, in fact I prefer it. I'm just worried that I wont be able tot study the same stuff or if I'd be shooting myself in the foot.

Hi Lukas,

Thanks so much for your question, and thank you for considering Exeter as your university of choice!

You're correct in saying that the courses will be different at Penryn and Streatham, my advice would be to scroll down to the 'Course Content' section on these websites (which I will link below) and have a think about the content that interests you most. There is a drop down for Year 1, 2, and 3, so you can see what might interest you most for each year and then compare. Here are the links for the History courses:

In terms of Penryn being a smaller campus, you're absolutely correct. However, I am just about to graduate from the Penryn campus and I can say that if you love going for long walks by the beach, supporting local businesses, and a general sense of community you will love the campus.

Despite Penryn and Falmouth being comparatively small towns, there is no shortage of events and nightlife. Students typically go to Falmouth for nightlife as it is busier and has clubs, bars, and pubs as well as venues that regularly have live music events such as the Cornish Bank and Princess Pavilion. Also, during the summer months, Gyllyngvase beach is a great place to watch the sunset and have a picnic or a BBQ.
Penryn is quieter but there are nice, cosy pubs and restaurants and the Student Union and the campus also regularly hosts events. You can check out some of the events taking place on campus on the events page (https://fxplus.ac.uk/events-on-campus/), the Student Union page (https://www.thesu.org.uk/) or on Instagram (@foodanddrinkoncampus).

I hope this information is useful, but please don't hesitate to reach out if you need further support.
