Yes okay, so my personal opinion on RMPS is that it’s quite easy. I think i got around 95% in the prelim with minimal studying. I’d say the best thing to do is just have a decent grasp on how to answer the questions in the right format. There’s two papers, a religion and morality paper and then a philosophical paper.

For the paper one, you have to answer a 20 mark essay and then a 10 marker for both religion and then morality. This paper totals 60 marks.
20 marker essays are structured using 10 points of knowledge, 5 analysis marks, and 5 evaluation marks. It’s generally quite easy to get knowledge marks in the MORALITY section because you get a mark for a general introduction (eg one cause of crime is genetics, such as the MAOA gene which causes increased aggression leading to increased potential for crime) another mark for saying the moral issue associated (a moral issue arising from genetics being a cause of crime is that it is unfair to punish someone for committing a crime if they cannot control their mind) and then the last knowledge point is like the religious/non-religious response (a christian response to this moral issue comes from the Ten Commandments, “Thou shall not kill”). Then you just repeat until you’ve achieved all the marks.
Analysis marks are pretty self explanatory but i would keep using the signposted sentences, “A consequence of this Christian response is that a Christian may…” or “As a result of this response…” etc etc
Evaluation is pretty much your own opinion so you can say, “Upon evaluation, I agree with this Christian response because…” or “I disagree because…”
10 Mark essays for the morality section are just smaller versions of the 20 mark essay.

However, there’s a difference between the 10 markers in the religious section. This section can have a question like “Analyse the relationship between” or “Analyse the purpose of…”. These are made up of 6 knowledge marks and 4 analysis marks. If it’s a relationship question, you might want to focus on finding 3KU marks for both of the mentioned things and then in a separate paragraph, analyse why they link with each other.

Paper two, for me at least, is generally just the same essay asked in slightly different ways and it’s worth 20 marks. It’s the same structure as before but dealing with a philosophical question such as “Does god exist?”. Ofc there’s only two ways to ask that question because, at its core, you’re being asked whether god exists or he doesn’t so you need to bring in both sides of the argument. I think it’s the easiest section of all because you can pretty much predict the paper.

I’m happy to answer any more questions if you have any, and if i think of anything else I’ll just pop it in as another message!
