What Russel group Unis accept Grade D's?

I've applied for the Geology and Physical Geography course and received an offer and firmed it for ABB. However, they state that they do not accept grade D or below. Concerned I might get AAD with Distinction (A) in Information Technology, A in Geography and a D in Mathematics. Where would this allow me to go, potentially through clearing if I need to. Thankyou.

Appreciate it, I know they're a solid uni too.

Cardiff might. They might even still be open for your second year.

Last year, Nottingham was accepting people with grade Ds as long as the tariff points added up to the original offer. I know someone who got in with ACD for Chem & another with CCD for history with foundation year

One day more people will realise again that Nottingham is up there with most very good universities and it'll become harder to get in to.

Firm Reading (not Russell Group but very good for this subject. 14th in the UK for Geology and 13th for Geography, according to Edurank) and they say they'll give a place even if you don't quite meet BBB.

No worries, if it comes down to it that's fine.

UON. Plenty of people rate Nottingham high but not enough. Although I more need to defend Leicester and Reading.

okay you're a legend. For geography their lowest is CCC for geography but when I type AAD comes back with 100% students accepted.

Sorry, i had made the comment about clearing for UON and i accidentally deleted it. Yes it was UoN, i should have been more clear. It was just for geography though😊

I agree. I was trying to help a friend out who had no uni offers & suggested UoN in clearing and they said they’d never go there. We had a conversation a couple weeks ago and he said he regrets saying that now, it’s a well established and respected institution.

Realistically its very unlikely that any 'top'' Uni would accept you with a D grade - even in Clearing.
However, you havnt even taken your A level exams yet and so you are imagining a situation that has not even happened yet. All you can do is put in some extra effort with Maths now and push yourself to ger a good grade.
