Medicine uni decision help

Hello,
I am currently a year 13 and am really struggling to decide what university to pick for Medicine and would please like some help.
I am trying to decide between Exeter and Liverpool. I know nobody on this chat can decide for me but I was wondering if anyone that goes to either of these unis could tell me more about it, and perhaps tell me whether some of my worries about Exeter really make that much of a difference.

Exeter is higher grades which makes me think it is more prestigious, and also makes more sense if I firmed Exeter and then could insure Liverpool.

Exeter was always my dream medical school until I realised it was on a separate campus to other courses. I really dont want to be isolated from other people and the social aspect of uni is definitely a very big thing for me. I am worried that being too far from the student union and main student areas will be too big of a negative and I wont be as integrated into social events as I would like to be. The student union at Saint Lukes really put me off, as there wasnt really much of one. I am also worried about the Exeter stereotype, and when I went to the Liverpool offer holder day I definitely noticed a huge difference in the people, with them being alot more friendly and similar to myself than at Exeter.

After being to Liverpool for the offer holder day I really loved it and thought the clinical facilities were fantastic. I thought the city was a very exciting place and there was definitely alot more to do. Like I mentioned previously the people were alot more friendly, and I really loved the fact that all courses are on the same campus, so I could be living with medics and non medics. I also really loved the accommodation at Liverpool, particularly Greenbank, alot more than Exeter's Rowancroft. However, Liverpool is much further from me, a 4.5 hour train journey and I was wondering if this could be too far. I have also always wanted to live by the sea so living in Exeter would definitely be perfect.

Please can anyone that studies Medicine at Exeter or Liverpool offer me some advice and perhaps tell me more about the social aspects of university at Exeter.

Thank you very much in advance

I know students at both and the off campus element has been challenging. Whereas Liverpool is a compact city, lots to do and everything is close and reasonably priced. Liverpool is probably just as close to the beach as Exeter.

Distance is a consideration. I have a child at Liverpool, which is a 4 hour drive and about the same by train. Drive up and back at each end of the academic year, rest of it they get the train for end if term etc. My child loves it.

My advice, make a table with pros and cons for each to help you make your decision.
