university of edinburgh accomodation

i’m really in need of some advice regarding accommodation. i’ll give some info about me, my preferences and what i’m looking at atm. please let me know if there are any suggestions, all help greatly appreciated

18F hispol applicant 2025, looking for a sociable atmosphere with modern accoms. come from surrey boarding school.

im not too fussed on catering options but i heard good things about the social life at pollock. the only huge priority for me is en-suite rooms because i’ve been traumatized by shared bathrooms for too long. equally, if anyone has overwhelmingly positive reflections about having shared bathrooms, happy to hear any advice offered. i don’t really care about walking, as long as the accoms themselves are social.

some options i’ve been looking at
- Chancellors Court (pollock halls, catered, en-suite). I really love how modern it is and i heard it’s quite sociable?
Holland House (pollock halls, catered, en-suite) similar reasons as above
John Burnett House (pollock halls, catered). although i love it, my only issue is that you can only get en-suite for quite a high price compared to the others, while they also offer shared bathrooms for a “normal” price, thoughts?
Brae House (self-catered, en-suite) heard it’s rlly modern, buses available.
Salisbury Court (self catered, en-suite) also looks super modern, more central.

thanks so much for reading this through, again any advice very appreciated

I'm looking for accomodation also
Depending on how much Ur willing to pay Salisbury is rly rly good. Location is great and it's very modern.
Quite sociable also with large study+social spaces bottom floor.
But from what I've heard Pollock is the most sociable just because of the sheer size of the place, lots of house parties and socials.
