Masters in Education

Hi
I started my masters in education in Feb
I need to withdraw due to my health. I have been paid the second instalment of uni fees that is due in October. I have already paid the uni for the first term.
Will I need to pay the second instalment back to SFE? Or will it be taken once I start working? Or do I set up a payment plan with them?

Thanks
Ayesha

The best thing to do is call SFE and ask them. They will give you a definitive and accurate answer.

Hi Ayesha,

I'm pretty sure that if you’ve received a maintenance or tuition fee loan from (SFE) and then you withdraw, the amount you've already received will become part of your overall student loan balance! So you won’t usually have to pay it back straight away, but it would be repaid in the usual way once you're earning above the repayment threshold - just like any other student loan
You generally wouldn’t need to set up a separate payment plan unless SFE contacts you and specifically requests it. However, if you’re unsure about how your withdrawal might affect your loan or repayments, it’s a good idea to contact SFE directly so they can give you advice based on your specific situation.

Hope this helps!
