Application to Newcastle Uni - Postgrad

Hi! I applied to Newcastle University for the MArch course on 10th April. I haven’t recieved any updates on my application yet. I have sent an inquiry twice regarding its status but the team mentioned that it’s still with the academics team.
I really like the program and the university and the opportunity would genuinely mean a lot. But I have an offer from another uni and I need to get back to them by this week. Worried that once I say yes here, I might get my acceptance from Newcastle and I can’t do anything about it.
Does anyone have any insights? Any advice on why the process is taking so long? Thank you!
