Personal statement mistake

I just sent off my ucas application where im reapplying for first year. I wrote something along the lines of "Im fully committed to completing my degree but wish to transfer to Bournemouth which i was offered a place at last year but declined". I wrote this with the intention of only applying to Bournemouth as it is the only uni im sure i want to go to but i came up with some backup options just incase and forgot i had wrote that in the personal statement. So now ive stupidly mentioned wanting to go to Bournemouth while i have applied to different unis too. Can this be fixed and if not how big a deal is it?

No it can't be fixed. Usually other Unis will ignore this sort of thing, but that can't be guaranteed.

Hey!

It can’t be changed after submission, but it’s not a big deal. Universities know that students apply to several choices through UCAS. They focus more on your qualifications and suitability than a uni-specific line in your personal statement. If asked, just explain you were initially focused on Bournemouth but later added backups, which is completely reasonable!

Hi! Speaking for Bournemouth University, we're delighted to be your first choice - but please don't sweat your personal statement - mistakes happen. You are welcome to reach out to [email protected] if you need anything from our end - and good luck with your application!
