how was paper 2? And paper 1. I tripped on the mass of planet question, I assumed wrong thing and so didnt do the M1+M2 AND also tripped by accident on the E fields que by ECF i think. Except from that pretty chill. Wbu? Paper 1 i thought was annoying. Let me know how people in ur skl found it

Do you know anyone who got the answer for the planets one, I got around 4.4smth x 10^27. And also that weird one with k and n when the filament lamps were brought into parallel. Did u do 1/3 k and 3n?

I don't know if this is right but me and a lot of people I know did 3k and then said n was unchanged. But thats what i got for the mass of the planet.

What did u say the problem of hysteresis in a tyre was other than causing excess heat. I said it would wear out the tread but I don’t think it’s right. Also how did u find the QER

The planet one is correct, I believe. I did not understand that they had a COM so I did a totally different method but I used the angular velocity, time period and etc as well. How many marks would I get? Also, what do you think grade boundaries will be this year? Like last year 80% approximately?

I had seen the QER before, in another exam board so it was not that hard. The hysterisis, I think you should talk about that there would be EVEN more energy dissipated HENCE the grip of tyres essentially get worn out and the braking distance WHEN the car is actually moving with properly inflated tyres will be increased and this is NOT safe and may cause accident. Some people approached it by saying that there would be a lot of resistance when the car moves with under-inflated tyres, which is true BUT I do not think this is why the engineer thought that the idea of driving with under-inflated tyres is bad. Because is it not common sense that you have to inflate your tyres? I think the engineer was essentially trying to say, do not drive your car UNTIL you inflate it as you will damage the grip of tyres and hence impacting braking and grip on road.

I got the same mass for the planet, checked it afterwards and it's roughly 8 times bigger than mass of Saturn

Boundaries probably about 85 tbh, at the most- more unusual questions than 2024, but not too hard. Does anyone have specific predictions for paper 3, like specifically the QER? Also does anyone else do the Medical Option?

Yh I agree, it wasn't hard so probably same as 2024 or lower, definitely not 2019. Loads of gaps for people to drops marks on tho.. I don't do medical option. QER I predicted correctly for paper 2 but thats only because I did 30 of them or smth and luckily the exact question was asked by another exam board. With paper 3, QER could be anything

That's cool dw, I'll probably focus on what the spec asks us to know- It would be fantastic to have BE/N graph, but I suspect it'll be an experiment on measuring stopping potentials or something.

Easiest paper 3 I ever sat, were your questions the same as 2022 for the options? Because medical was pretty much identical

Yes that paper was all so easy apart from 7 marks. Anyone get the activity of gamma source 4 marker and that 3 marker on amplitude squared. I had so much working for both but couldn’t get either.

Same! I guessed for them but I know they won’t get me more than like 2 marks 😭

Oh no, I think I have skill issue I lost probably about 30 marks already.. any suggestions for grade boundaries?

**** you mean easiest? are you tapped? that was nothing like previous years. sure it was easy but i lost 10 marks purely cuz theyd never tested it before.
