Psychology Paper 1 AQA a level predictions

Is it possible that because the spec is changing for 2025 students entering year 12 and college, the topics they’re getting rid of are more likely to be in the papers eg. My teachers have predicted role of the father for attachment paper 1 as a 16 marker and that’s one of the bullet points they’re removing from the new spec

i’ve heard both sides to this. my teacher said they were removed off the spec because they were too hard and they have never come up (most of them) so it’s likely that some could come up but i wouldn’t imagine them to come up as 16 markers but defo still revise it! but i’m thinking role of the father will come up and i’ve planned an essay for it

I honestly have no idea how to write a 16 marker on role of the father like what’s there even to talk about

Well you have AO1 which is like fathers role for active and physical play, research by Schaffer, field and grossman on the role of the father and its effects on a child’s internal working model and then AO3 which is economic implications, criticising the research, defying social conventions of child rearing practices being predominantly female roles it’s not the strongest 16 marker but I’m not sure why my teachers really think it would be one

For A01 you can mention research from:
-schaffer, at 18 months 75% of infants formed an attachement with the father
-Lamb infants sought the father when already in a happy state compared to the mother when they were distressed and needed comfort
-Geiger the father is the child’s playmate whereas mother is nurturing
-A secure attachment with the father is important for future relationships
-A secure attachment with the father decreases likelihood of agression, bad school performance

A03
-socially sensitive to single mothers (as suggests a father is also needed for them to grow up positively)
-biologically unsuitable- can’t detect low levels cues of infant distress HOWEVER lamb suggested that fathers responded more sensitively to infants needs when primary caregiver
-social biases, stereotypes such as father being playmate can cause observer bias, reducing objectivity

Hi, I'm a yr12as psychology student and my teacher told the yr13s that are in the yr12 classes that they should be aware of what comes up in the as papers bc last Yr there was similarities in the as and alevel papers.
I can't really remember much of the paper, although I know that using strange situation in research came up as give one strength and one limitation both worth 3/4 marks. There was an 8 marker on influence of attachment in later relationships. Memory unit was quite easy, mainly just cognitive interview, and a little bit of research methods involved the 2 main being how to do random sampling and a 4 mark question on 2 ways the investigator could reduce investigator bias in an interview. There was also short answer questions like define capacity in memory, and duration in STM and LTM. In the social influence section there was a 12 marker on Asch and it was dicuss and evaluate 2 variations of Asch into an explanation of conformity I believe. There was also a little bit of CCF.
That's all I can remember.
Btw idk if anyone has said this but an AO3 for role of father is that there is confusion over research q being asked, e.g. it's a complicated question, some researchers look into fathers as primary whereas some as secondary so there is no simple answer. Another a03 is that has real world application as can be offered as advice to parents etc. (Evidence from Field et al)
Another is that conflicting evidence based on methodology used as grossman used longitudinal study and found fathers have distinct role for play and stimulation but if this was the case then you'd expect children in homosexual relationships/single parenting to turn out different but that isn't the case, meaning question of role of father still unanswered.
And finally another a03 would be pre-esxisting bias in the researchers themselves.
