Best accommodation for University Of Essex Colchester?

Currently in the process of applying for student accommodation for Essex, want something close to the campus - sociable and relatively cheap. First choice is currently south towers - need to pick a few more as insurance but don't really know which ones to pick so I wanted to ask if anybody has any recommendations. Thanks

South Towers is a great first choice – I lived there whilst studying at Essex and loved it! They are newly refurbished, the closest accommodation to the Squares (right in the middle of everything) so you can wake up minutes before your lecture and still be on time. There would be up to 14-16 students in your flat, so you can study in your room but also meet and chat with your flatmates in the kitchen. 🌆🤝

There are many options for your insurance. South Courts is more expensive but right next to the gym and a 5 minute walk from central campus, with green space for relaxing in the nice weather. Depending on the house, there would be 4-14 students with multiple kitchens in the larger flats and the majority of rooms having their own ensuite bathrooms. Although The Meadows and Pastures are a 15 minute walk to campus, it is a lovely walk and is still very social. Most of the rooms have an ensuite, and you would be sharing the kitchen with 4-12 people depending on your flat. Colchester town is easy to access via the train or bus, if you have a part-time job or want to go shopping or explore the area. 🌳🏡

A free gym membership is included in all of our Colchester campus accommodation, as well as a medical centre and 24hr security. 🏀
