help needed! SFE not done but deadline this week
Hi! As the title says, my SFE application is not done! My dad is finishing his part latetoday and my mom is doing hers now as I'm typing this.
Thing is, I thought I had to wait until I got all my responses back and I had to set my firm and insurance before applying so I only got my last response on friday evening, which is when I started the application. I've done my first part already and am waiting on my parents but the info they've given so far and the info I've given needs to be checked. I didn't realise the deadline was so soon but it says the checks take a business week or a few business days so be checked but the deadline is literally this week! I don't know what to do. I genuinely thought I had to wait for all my responses I feel so stupid. I really can't afford to pay for my own tuition, not even with my parents help. Will my application be denied because of this??

the checks done by student finance doesn’t matter how long that takes as the wait is generally 6-8 weeks at the moment, just focus on sending that application in asap. You can also submit it online to avoid posting it and getting that lost. You don’t need to wait for firm and insurance choices as they may change by results day and you can change those choices online easily. Worth calling them to let them know your situation and ask if your application can still be considered even if it is late,

I will try and call them and ask about the checks and stuff. I was just worried because I've done it so late, the checks aren't complete so I can't complete my application..

Don't worry - it is a soft deadline to ensure that students have their funding in place by the start of the academic year. If you submit after the deadline, your application will still be processed.

oh thank God! I really thought I'd be rejected because of this and have to reapply next year!
I am also applying for the NHS training grant but I don't know when the deadline for that is and I was confused because I've applied for it but I haven't gotten sfe yet but it asks for a copy of my student loan letter which I don't have..

The deadline to apply for the NHS LSF is six months after the start of your course, and the first payment is only made in November. So waiting for your award letter from SFE won't be an issue.
