Pensioner funding for Master's programme

I am interested in pursuing the Master's Degree at Portsmouth into Naval History, but I read on the government funding page that loans are restricted to those under 60! I will be 79 shortly but have the time and the interest to complete this course what other forms of funding, bursaries, etc might be available?

Hi Les-s,to be eligible students must be aged under 60 on the first day of the first academic year of their course for to be eligible for postgraduate support. Any applicants aged 60 or over on the first day of the first academic year will be ineligible for funding. So that rules that out unfortunately.

However, through the undergraduate route, students aged over 60 can apply for tuition fees and the undergraduate Special Support Loan. For 25/26 academic year the SSL award is £4461.00. Thanks, Stephen.
