Not unheard of but good for ALL subjects I found. Watch videos and the re-watch videos the night before the exam. While watching make notes of answers questions after. The night before the exam you shouldn’t do anything heavy so videos are great

hello, I've acc already done my geo gcse now (y11), so I'll try to sort of answer my own question (based on what I did/ wish I did back then):

I'd say the best thing you could do is memorise content (since the subject is so content heavy) - use stuff like flashcards/ mnemonics etc to memorise them (I used quizlet a lot but I heard anki is good too if not better) but don't over memorise bc (at least for me) I was struggling to keep a million things in my head at once, so only memorise what's necessary, focus on key studies and try do as many practice essays as possible- timed. definitely ask your teacher to mark your essays if possible or give some feedback.

this goes for most subjects but stay consistent and try revisit things periodically so you don't forget them. and 100% do not leave things out- if there's smth you don't understand, sort it out there and then and don't leave it for later. I used knowledge organisers a lot for revision (if your school doesn't provide you with them, it's pretty easy to find some online from other schools/ websites.

if you're in y10, start preparing during summer (if you aren't already) - a little at a time builds up and benefits you sm in the long run. these are not exactly unheard of/ unusual but I hope it helps!? also used: https://www.internetgeography.net/ a lot for revision. and to repeat what the other person said, I did a lot the night before the exam and ended up overwhelming myself and forgetting things- so don't do what I did and stay calm! goodluck! (sorry for the long answer)
