thank you🙏

ik this is a bit late but i'm rlly good at the lotf (got 34/34 on my mocks) my advice is to revise symbol's 9the conch, fire, the shell, adults, the isalnd etc0 as not a lot of ppl would be prepared for them meaning you'll have less competition. HAND PICK your own quotes as most quotes online are just rubbish and link his ideas to modern times, ww2, aldof hitler, religion and philosphers such as freud and atomic bombs

Hi,
I really have no authority to be speaking on this just that I've been getting grade 9s in this for my mocks. However, the things I like to do is definitely link to historical context. There's these rituals which were popular in Ancient Greece called Dionysian Mysteries in which cult members would use substances to induce a trance so that they could channel their primitive instincts. I always find this interesting to reference when I'm talking about the hunters killing the sow. Another thing is potentially comparing Roger to Josef Mengele. There's some similarities such as Roger's obsession with the twins and the littluns, his malicious fantasies are facilitated through Jack. Roger wants power yet he doesn't want to be a leader, he wants authority to enact his sadistic fantasies. Hangman's horror is kind of similar to the doctor of death.

i prefer to revise themes first and then symbols as some of the qutes for themes overlap with quotes for characters and not a lot of ppl focus on symbols or themes. ihmm it might be on the conch tomoz i've never seen a quetsion on the conch it would be good if it was

I have a gut feeling that it might be jack or roger - no proof or analysis of previous papers though, only a gut feeling. I'm revising both themes and characters just in case but I'm only doing essay plans for characters because I think I'd be able to string together an essay about themes from my character essay plans.
Also sorry, some other ideas I forgot to mention. I'm planning to look more into Freud's components of human psyche because I have a psychology book and read someone info about this theory about how these are more psychosexual stages which develop through life. Another thing is about symbols, I think if you talk about fire, you could definitely reference Plato's cave allegory which is such an interesting idea.

you could also link the fire to weapons of mass destruction. piggy's glasses which represent scientific understanding is ued to make the fire yet when the glasses are in the wrong hands (jack or the hunters) the fire produced causes destruction such as in chapter 2 when they start a fire and the boy with the mulberry birthmark disappears) when jack orders for the whole island to be put to flames to kill of ralph). this links to WMD and science as when placed in teh wrong hands they can be abused and used for evil. the fire represents both rescue and detsruction
