Hands-on Learning in Engineering and Architecture

Hi everyone! I'm currently exploring universities for engineering and architecture courses that emphasise practical, hands-on learning rather than just theory. I've got my eye on places like Imperial, Manchester, UCL, Cambridge, Edinburgh University, LSE University, Queen's Belfast, Exeter, and St. Andrews College.

I'm particularly interested in large campuses with a rural feel and opportunities for extracurriculars like piano, robotics, ice hockey, and basketball. If anyone has experience or insights about the practical learning environments at these universities or others I might not have considered yet, I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks ❤️

Quite a few of the unis you have listed don't offer architecture and/or engineering. What course are you searching for?

courses that focus on real-world applications, like engineering design and architecture, appeal to me.
