What are you studying? Do you know what modules you want to take? Is there any information on the course's page about recommended materials?

It'll depend on what specific art degree your doing. The tools needed for Fine Art are usually different to those needed for Graphic Design, Animation, so on and so forth.
Additionally, it would be more beneficial to get in contact with the university you're going to and asking them what they want you to have. Different universities will offer different materials in house, and might need you to have other materials for yourself.

I am sure that during the induction week the course leaders will let you know if there is anything you need and during the course you may need a range of supplies depending on what mediums you decide to use.
There is an art shop at Knights Park campus which sells supplies for a discounted price.
Also there is a Cass Art Shop and Pullingers Art shop in Kingston along with more general stationary stores like The Works and Ryman.
