Warwick Finance and Accounting – Graduate Outcomes?

Hi everyone,
I’ve got an offer to study Finance and Accounting at Warwick and I’m currently deciding what university I will attend .
I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of roles Warwick graduates from this course typically go into?
Which companies do they end up working for, and how strong is the course when it comes to things like internships or graduate job opportunities (e.g. Big 4, banking, corporate finance etc.)?
Any insight from current students, alumni, or anyone who’s looked into this would be really helpful!
Thanks!

Don't worry, Warwick is a 'target uni' for finance (along with Oxbridge, LSE, Imperial, UCL), and I think Warwick grads go into loads of fields in finance, what other offers have you got?

Bath, Warwick, Glasgow

I am mainly deciding between Bath and Warwick. I don't know what to pick as I know Warwick is a little better for graduate outcomes but i also am a serious athlete so bath would be better in that aspect. Its so tough to decide

Yeah I mean so warwick will have better outcomes if your dead set on finance, but Bath is still very good too with better sport. Also year in industry for bath I believe so that might be better/worse for you. Depends how much finance vs sport matters (warwick still has tonnes of sports from what I've heard so personally I'd say warwick)

Thanks for the advice, do you know anything about bath if its a target/semi target?

Bath is probably a lower semi-target, you can still get jobs obviously and it has good graduate outcomes (particularly due to its year in industry), but if you're looking for high finance (Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan etc.) then warwick is better

Hi, Warwick A&F final year here.

I did an industrial placement at a top bank in London and my cohort was 6 students with two from warwick business school (including me), two from bath, and two from other top unis. Many grads from A&F at WBS have gone on to get fantastic grad jobs, including jobs in consulting, sales and trading, investment banking, and more.

It would probably be easier for me to list off companies that WBS grads dont end up interning/full-time at. I know very few people from my cohort who have yet to find a graduate job at this point - unless they are enrolling on a master's degree for next year.

Warwick gets your foot in the door, but the rest is up to you. If you do go to WBS, be sure to engage with societies in your first year to get some experience to discuss, and don't slack on getting your CV reviewed by the careers team (who will happily have a look!) before spring weeks open in September/October.

Best of luck!
